SB 155

LC1715
Mike Lang
Prohibit local government regulation of agricultural seeds

  1. Per Bryce Christiaens: I am waiting to hear back on some one potential issue with this bill from the attorneys at dept of Agriculture…which is that language in this bill may conflict with the ability of counties to regulate species as “county listed” noxious weeds. There are a number of exemptions already included in the bill, with one specifically mentioning noxious weeds, but there is no mention of the county listed species. Once I hear back I will let you know…but in the meantime we would want to make sure to allow counties that flexibility.
