Missoula County supports SB 66 - Generally revise the crime victims compensation act, before Senate Judiciary tomorrow morning. Crime victim compensation is vital to the clients Missoula County's Relationship Violence Services division serves. Victims of crime suffer the initial trauma of the crime itself. When they are faced with unexpected bills as a result of the victimization they experienced, it can be overwhelming to deal with, both financially and emotionally. Crime victim compensation provides a small amount of assistance at a time in a person's life when they need it the most.
