HB 94

  1. Missoula County opposes HB 94 - Generally revise public safety officer standards/training council laws, before House Judiciary tomorrow morning. This bill has many updates that are needed for the POST council. Unfortunately two of the proposed updates would limit the flexibility of Missoula County by removing the ability for counties to contract for pre-trial and misdemeanor probation services. This flexibility has allowed Missoula County to address some of the challenges related to overcrowding in the Missoula County Detention Facility.
