The bill adds burdens to local governments in administering tif districts by adding reporting and hearing requirements. The budgets and actual revenues and expenditures are all public information and approved at public meetings. The bill seems to attempt to tell local government how to conduct its business without adding any benefit to tif districts."

Missoula County opposes SB 27 – Amend TIF laws related to public hearings and reporting, before Senate Taxation tomorrow morning. This bill adds redundant reporting and hearing requirements which are already met at the local level for the benefit of those within and adjacent to the district.
