Senators Barrett and Malek, Missoula County supports HB 29 - Require parcel to be at least 1 acre for valuation as agriculture property, as amended, before Senate Taxation tomorrow morning. Missoula County agricultural operators face multiple pressures from ongoing changes in adjacent land use coupled with increasing costs of agricultural operations. This bill provides limited but practical support to small agricultural operations while concurrently not significantly impacting other land owners or tenants.
