  1. Sent the following message to Rep. Hertz on House Taxation yesterday afternoon.

Missoula County supports HB 43 – Authorize informal review deadline for second year property reappraisal cycle, before House Taxation tomorrow morning. HB 43 provides homeowners a clear path to address increases in their property taxes that may be higher than the property owner believes is accurate. The bill sets certain deadlines for the Department of Revenue to provide information and respond to inquiries from the public. HB 43 also provides instructions to the property owner with different types of property classes on addressing their concerns, the deadlines involved and who the appropriate entities or individuals are they should provide their protested tax information to.”
