Treasure state endowment program

  1. Per Amy Rose: This is an important program we routinely apply to for funding assistance on planning bridge, water and sewer projects. Continued funding for this program is imperative.

  2. Per Amy Rose: “Public Works was able to prepare two construction grant applications for bridge and water system projects in the past year by leveraging TSEP planning grants to local dollars. The use of those grant dollars assisted in planning to replace Bible Lane Bridge, a project that improves hydraulic capacity and wider traffic flow by replacing sole access over Petty Creek to 39 residential properties and a school; and proposed disinfection improvements for Sunset West Water District serving approximately 40 homes. These are two examples for which we routinely seek assistance from the TSEP planning grant fund. Trail Creek bridge, another sole stream crossing built in the 1960's in need of replacement, is scheduled in our next fiscal cycle based on the assumption of applying for planning grant funds. Without access to TSEP planning grants local budgets are constrained and critical infrastructure improvements subject to additional delays.”
