Per Shannon Therriault: This bill is fine. It gives DEQ the ability to establish the regulatory distance between wells and wastewater lagoons. DEQ already establishes those distances between wells and septic systems and surface water. My understanding is that this bill will allow additional flexibility, because once it's in rule, DEQ can allow shorter distances on a case by case basis. Shannon
