Senators, Missoula County supports SB 224 – State cabin site exemption for replacement water or sewer systems, on the Senate floor this afternoon and thanks Senator Malek for sponsoring this bill. SB 224 eliminates unnecessary review by DEQ, reduces expenses, and cuts the time it takes to replace failing septic systems on these lots. Local health departments can issue a replacement septic permit that is equally protective of public health in a shorter period of time ensuring the replacement is done as efficiently as possible.
