Per Tyler Gernant: "I actually helped write this bill and our association asked Rep. Jacobson to carry the bill. I wholly support it.
This bill provides a great deal more clarity than existing law and eliminates some conflicting provisions. It also enhances the notice that a taxpayer receives regarding delinquent taxes. Finally it eliminates the annual tax lien sale. The County would now take all tax liens and go through the assignment process which is more familiar to most Treasurers. Again this creates stability and predictability for taxpayers. Additionally, it will eliminate taxpayers receiving assignment notices before 2nd half taxes are actually due."
